Spring 2010: Best Runway Looks (Part 1: A & numbers)

It is officially spring now, and though the wether might not be on a spring mood, we should be - and picking up some new looks for the new season is just the right thing to do to put us in this mood.
So I'm giving you the best runway looks you can be inspired for this season.

Akris

Perfectly tailored clothes, very sexy office wear I would say.

Alberta Ferretti

Very feminine, fairy-tale looks, very light and flawless. Be aware - this color pallet might make you look quite pale.

Alexander McQueen

The genius of Alexander McQueen will live forever in his creations. Don't really want to discuss this, just look at these amazing clothes...

Alexander Wang

Alexander Wang's girl is some sort of a rebel - she's strong and she doesn't obey the rules of society - she makes her own rules. That makes his girl look even stronger and sexier and that is what I like in his looks.

Andrew Gn

I like each and every look here - they are very different but each of them is stylish and elegant.

Anna Sui

Tired of the moody atmosphere on so many runways? Go to Anna Sui, she'll always give you a portion of smiles and happiness, I've checked ;) Anna makes these amazing playful clothes and when you put it on you feel younger, you feel more energetic, you literally feel happier - it is so great :)

Antonio Berardi

Elegant and chic clothes, but this idea of displaying your underwear still bewilders me...

Aquilano.Rimondi

Nice volants - clothes look light and feminine without making you look like a cake.

Azzaro

Very nice girly dresses, sexy and playful - perfect for summer.

Resort 2010 (Part 1: A)

There could be no best time to go on a little vacation then in mid-January or in February - just to escape the crazy cold of the two remaining winter months and make spring come a little bit faster. Specially for this designers from all over the world created for us Resort collections - so that we could easily pick up the necessities we might need for sunbathing or sitting in the cafe in Alpes drinking hot chocolate (you can find something for that too).
But even if you are too busy and can't go on a vacation right now (which is totally understandable - new year, so many new and urgent things to do), you can still look at the beautiful clothes and looks I am about to show you and start dreaming about Spring. And who can say no to our sweet little dreams? :)
So I am happily giving you the best looks for you winter break or a good food for thought about Spring :)

3.1 Phillip Lim

I like the shapes of the skirts, the fabrics, the colors and the lightness all the looks have. Perfect for spring.

ADAM

I like the embellishments on the tops + the necklace and the sporty vibe from the clothes is nice. My favorite look here is the last - the one with the long yellow skirt.

Akris

LOVE the suits! Those sleeves are so yummy :) The first look is perfect for a hot day in the office, love it. The dress is very nice, I am curious about the print, it must look like fire when in motion.

Alberta Ferretti

This collection is more for those of us who had to stay in the city and work - nice comfortable looks for office (1,2) or a cocktail with friends in the evening (3,5). The 4th dress is divine, someone should wear it to the red carpet!

Alexander McQueen

I really like the colors here, especially I like the 2nd look - blue&white dress and blue boots - stunning! Geometric cuts and printed leggings are interesting and risky to wear, would you dare? :)

Alexander Wang

Alexander Wang's girl is not cool - she's super cool. Sometimes it even looks as if she doesn't give a sh*t on what people might think about her look. At all. Well most of the time I can't blame her - his clothes is good and gives you a big choice. These 6 looks were the best for me.

Antonio Berardi

From Antonio's collection I liked the sculptured black dresses, the 1st look is just perfect (love the leather jacket!), and the various sets of short dresses (love the shape, how it hugs around the hips) with scarves (for me scarves here are pretty optional, I think dresses will look fine without them too).

Fall 2009: Best Runway Looks (Part 1: A)

My choice of best runway looks for Fall 2009
Today I'm giving you designers on "A", and I will continue my list later in alphabetical order.

3.1 Phillip Lim

We see dandy style at Phillip Lim.

I love how the colour of the tights matches each outfit and I absolutely love the dresses, fabric is great.

I also really like the idea of shorts + tights, I'd wear it. The suit is really chic.


Abaeté

At Abaeté we have some nice looks.

I really like the skirt from the 1st look, the belted dress + jacket from the 2nd look, 3rd mini-dress is hot + the tights have a perfect colour and the lenght is rught, and the 4th look is good for work.

ADAM

Nice coats at ADAM and a casual day-look for an early autumn (far right)

Akris

More than others I liked black pieces from Akris collection. The 2nd dress is just jaw-dropping! Really liked perforated elements. Skirt + jacket is stylish for work, I like it.

Alberta Ferretti

This Alberta Ferretti collection was quite an assortie - different colors, cuts, forms, fabrics. And these are my picks: a pretty classic coat, 2nd look is a mix of day-wear and evening-wear,and the 3rd dress is perfect for a party, a belt might do though.

Alessandro Dell'Acqua

What I like about Alessandro Dell'Acqua is that he's not on one boat with those who go for "big trends": he makes his own trends. No pointed shoulders, no hight boots, but so stylish and hot.

These are my choices.

Alexander Wang

More than other pieces I liked these asymmetrical dresses at Wang.

The rest of collection pretty much consists of a short knee-lenght pants, which is not really my cup of tea.

Nice looks, good coats. Evening dress- wow, those net motives are so sexy here!

Antonio Berardi

I like these shoulders. And boots, not grey but black though.

Aquascutum

Nice look. I really like the idea you can see on the 3rd look - a tulle top over a sweater. Looks really interesting!

Aquilano. Rimondi

I liked all the different types of shoulders Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi showed us at their show. These are the nicest looks. First two can be a daily wear and 3rd and 4th are definitely an evening wear.

Azzaro

These looks by Azzaro are kinda daywear, but at the same time not so daywear. I actually tend to think that they would be more appropriate in the evening. Nice looks, not breath-taking, but nice.
