Not that these clothes show what spring is to me, but the constructions are very interesting and materials are chosen very smartly. Maybe another color and they would be completely perfect for spring - I mean spring mood. But then it wouldn't be Gareth Pugh, you know :)

Giambattista Valli

 

I really like what Giambattista does, espacially his spring collections. This time the collection is full of interesting prints and fringe, with hints of volume here and there. My #1 favorite is the white dress (far right on the first picture). All the dresses are very lovely.

Gianfranco Ferré

 

This collection is very romantic and light. Especially love first three dresses.

Edgy dresses and I love the look with the pants and jacket.

Givenchy

 

Interesting collection. Again, dresses are the best, they look very gentle.

Gucci

 

Good geometry, interesting prints, perfect tailoring.

I love Giambattista, he makes one of the most beautiful dresses, as you can see here.

Usually I don't have any emotions about real people modeling for the fashion houses, not the models. But then again, most of the time I prefer it to be a model, not someone "real". Like here - Pixie Geldof might be good in something else, but modeling... Or maybe I just don't get the idea, I can presume that.

Giorgio Armani

Very feminine and elegant clothes, for a very sophisticated ladies.

Givenchy

I picked these looks because this is what I consider to be appropriate for resort/spring. Knowing that Givenchy currently has a quite moody style, these were the best for me.

Gucci

Super-sexy and cool looks at Gucci. Reeeeeeally like them!

Chanel & Givenchy Haute Couture Spring 2010

Couture week is in a full swing right now and on Tuesday we had gorgeous shows by Chanel and Givenchy. Oh my goodness! A-MA-ZING!
You know, Karl Lagerfeld once told Valentino: "Compared to us, everyone is making rugs" and - most of the time - he is right (not always of course). But he indeed is very talented and has an amazing sence of time and what will be good now. Somehow Karl manages to create this "new classic" as I call it. And it really is new, fresh but still classic look. Marvelous.

At Givenchy Riccardo Tisci stayed true to his dark and gothical mood and created woman who looked like a dark princess. "I was scared of couture at the beginning, and reacted by staying away from looking at the past at all," he confessed before the show. "But now I'm more confident, I started looking into the archive, and found the idea of this strong, erotic phase of Parisian women I related to."

I loved it, in motion it is magical. But a bit dark and sexy magic, you know.

Spring campaigns by YSL and Givenchy

Today I am presenting you to ad campaigns both featuring Natalia Vodianova.
First - Yves Saint Laurent. The pictures are minimalistic, full of sunlight and I would even say heat. I can't say that I love this campaign, but I do like the white blouse with big ruffles, it's amazing! The pictures were taken by photographers Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin.

Second today we have Givenchy campaign featuring not only Natalia, but also Maria Carla Boscono. The authors of these shots are Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Nice ad, but quite typical. It was interesting to see Natalia with dark hair though :)

Fall 2009: Best Runway Looks (Part 7: G)

It's funny that most of designers who's name starts on "g" made mostly black, dark collection for this fall. I'll be honest: that made me sick, I don't like that much of black. So it was hard for me to pick something, but I managed to choose several looks.

Giambattista Valli

First look here is my most fav of the whole collection. The dress is also cute, very gentle. However, the collection in general was too difficult for me to implement it in life, so sadly I could pick only these two looks. I expected more.

Givenchy

Love Givenchy. Riccardo Tisci makes clothes that is as sexy as hell,I mean it. Often you'll look at it and think 'How on Earth am I supposed to wear this?' But you know what?When you meet your Givenchy dress, you won't have this question.

Gucci

99% black collection, really? Come on, Frida, you can't be serious! This is GUCCI!

I was sincerely hoping for a little color (dark blue/red/violet/eggplant dont' count) and I got none. Sad.

But these looks are nice.
