Spring 2010: Best Runway Looks (Part 13: T & V & Y & Z)

Temperley London
Interesting dresses.

Tibi
I like these dresses because they are not banal, colorful and easy to pull off.

Tommy Hilfiger
These are the best shorts I've seen out of all spring'10 collections. I've also added a few men looks as they are really good.

Tory Burch
Bright daywear summer looks.

Valentino
I guess I can forget about the horror of spring 2010 couture show as if it never happened and just focus on the moment - spring ready-to-wear 2010 collection. It is quite beautiful, very gentle and feminine, with fantasy shoes. I can event say I liked the most of it.

Vera Wang
Nice looks and I like those jewelry pieces.

Versace

Candy looks, very yummy, very sexy. Very Versace.

Victoria Beckham
If you want a super-fitting, totally hugging your body dress - you can rely on Vicky. But I really hope she won't do these dresses-you-can't-breath-in over and over again as it'll get boring very soon. Hope to see something new and fresh from her.

Viktor & Rolf
Well that was quite a show! With all the visual effects they did, Viktor and Rolf had the most spectacular show of the season. The 1st dress I've included is quite wearable, and the rest are simply pieces of art.

Yves Saint Laurent
Good wearable clothes, nice color palette, comfortable materials.

Zac Posen

And finally we have Zac Posen with his joyful, colorful and playful collection. I really liked his dresses, would wear them with pleasure.

Spring 2010: Best Runway Looks (Part 12: R & S)

Ralph Lauren
I liked the total denim look by Ralph Lauren the most among the other brands that were doing this trend. I also really liked how he used the blue palette in general.

Requiem
Interesting evening dresses.

Rodarte
Rodarte dresses certainly need special occasion to wear them to, but I can really imagine myself wearing the 3rd one, I think it's very sexy.

Roland Mouret

Baggy but still elegant dresses. The middle one is divine.

Salvatore Ferragamo
I absolutely love the color palette here, the lime-lemon color is very fresh. Perfect looks for a day at work (the last one is more for the evening though).

Sophia Kokosalaki
Sassy minidresses. Very summer-ish.

Sophie Theallet
Elegant beautiful dresses. The 1st one is amazing.

Stella McCartney
I love this Stella collection, I really like what she does lately. This collection has so many options and so many variations for different occasions: day, evening, party, work... Really liked huge ruffles + vivd colors on the one hand and clean lines + calm colors on the other.

Inception

Last night I went to see the "Inception" movie. My God, it was amazing! I was totally impressed by the script and the level of acting of the cast. Can't call myself a Di Caprio fan, but he is a truly talented actor. The whole idea of the movie is so interesting and thrilling, and I just loved how they mixed several strong ideas together: love and the power of a human's mind. I would definitely watch it again. You have my recommendation.

Storm

It was a great storm today. A storm, that I've been waiting for so long to come. And finally it did - and it rained so hard and so beautifully that I was literally blown away by the power and the beauty of nature. I was sitting and looking at the endless forest in the middle of this glorious rain. I was charmed. I felt so close to nature as I haven't felt in a long time. It was just what I needed and I got it.
Have you ever thought just how beautiful can a rain in a forest be? It's indescribable.

Races

Yesterday I attended annual horse races "Diamond Horseshoe" - and Open Equestrian Sport Championship of Novosibirsk region held at Novosibirsk hippodrome.
What I really want to start with is that I was an awful weather for an outdoor activity, so it's nice that quite a lot people came nevertheless.
The event was organized quite well, the fourchette was delicious, especially various sweets by "La Maison" restaurant. It was quite an entertainment to watch all those people wearing all kinds of hats - some good, some nice and some simply ridiculous. To be clear - I didn't wear a hat myself (though I know that you are supposed to wear a hat to races), but as I am absolutely positive that you should wether do something perfectly or don't to it at all, I didn't compromise and decided not to wear a hat just because I had to. If I don't like something, I don't do it, and in this case it was the hat that I didn't like. So no hat for me, and it was fine :) Moreover, when I looked at some ladies at the event, I wished they had the same way of thinking as I do, if you understand what I'm talking about :)
So when the governor arrived the races begun. First, Ekaterina Boldureva and minister of agriculture gave their speech:

Then there was a demonstration of various kinds of horses:

These three were exclusively brought specially for the races, two of them are of andaluz kind and one another I unfortunately can't remember. I absolutely loved the black ones (though I am not a crazy horse fan):

Then there were several trials, one of them was on these funny little carriages:

We had to live early due to some circumstances that I couldn't foresee, but anyways I had a great time and enjoyed the show.
However, I wished organizers payed more attention and gave more time and respect to horses, not simply people who came to party. This was a big serious event, and it just wasn't presented well enough in my opinion. If you dare to organize such an honorable event, you have no right to forget the initial reason why this event is being held - and this is about sport. You should pay full attention and salute those sportsmen and animals - this is the idea of the event. Not to simply have a chit-chat and a drink or two.

Anyways, here's my dress for the event and it is by Olga Buzytskaya:

Muse Summer 2010

Although I am not a big fan of Gisele Bundchen, this photoshoot by Nino Muñoz for Muse Summer 2010 is beautiful - nothing extraordinary, but still good pictures.

Thoughts

My friends got married yesterday, and it was a beautiful evening and everything was held very nicely.
Sometimes it is so odd (in a good way) to see how people make such a big steps in their lives. And it makes you realize that in the midst of our hectic lifestyle true human values are still the same - love and family.
I am very happy for them and wish them all the best.
