I enjoyed this Kenzo collection so much! It was clearly Russian-inspired, and it is always flattering to see people being inspired by your heritage. The clothes was very easy and cosy, yet very stylish and feminine. I loved coats and light dresses - I wanted to wear them right away the moment I saw them! What I like about the 3rd look - is the way how absolutely different prints are combined in one look, that is not easy, but here it is done so perfectly. Loved this collection a lot.
"Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening" - Coco Chanel

Fall 2009: Best Runway Looks (Part 10: J)
J. Mendel
Jean Paul Gaultier
That white fur coat is one of my most favorite coats this season - it is so simple, elegant - divine!
And those dresses - mmm! Lovely. Gorgeous evening gowns.
Jason Wu
Jason Wu is great at all kinds of feminine looks. The 1st dress is really simple yet not boring. 2nd look I'd wear to work. And evening dresses are so beautiful, I love their volume and fabrics they are made of.
Jean Paul Gaultier
Most of the time I can hardly imagine Jean Paul Gaultier's looks off the runway in everyday life, but here we have an exception. Those dresses are not everyday of course, but definitely a stand-out evening wear.
Jil Sander
Clean lines as always at Jil Sander. This collection was less clinic than the spring one, and I like that.
There were several good suits, coats and dresses. I picked those that I liked the most. I like that flashes of color like in the 2nd coat with the lemon-yellow. And I was very intrigued by the color and shape of the orange dress.

Fall 2009: Best Runway Looks (Part 9: I)
Iceberg
I like the big pink knit sweater with a tight pencil skirt. The second dress is good for day and a fur wrap will make it very cosy. 3rd and 4th dresses are obviously for evening, I like big sequins on them.

"Water on the lens" photography exibition in London
These pictures are fantastically beautiful, I was speechless when I first saw them. It's hard to belive, but this is NOT photoshop or any trick, it was really shot that way. OMG.
The discription for each picture is below the picture.

Novosibirsk Fashion Week
Yes, there is one :) I have just discovered it and decided to go. Well, what can I say? I was not a "fashion week" fashion week, more like a couple fashion days, one of which I visited. Usually when something doesn't approve my expectations, I say to myself: "At least I saw it and now I know what it is like". Well you know - now I know what Novosibirsk Fashion Week is like. Anyways, there was one particular designer, Alexander Baranov, who impressed me. His dresses were quite beautiful and feminine and well done. That is all I can say about this fashion day. Nice experience anyways.

Fall 2009: Best Runway Looks (Part 8: F)
Hermès
This was a very much flying-inspired collection. LOTS of leather (I've picked a leather skirt here) - coats, jumpsuits, dresses, jackets... Anyways, here's my choice: a nice coat, a little bit edgy ensemble with the leather skirt and a cosy knit coat with the dress.
Hervé Léger by Max Azria
The hysteria over Hervé Léger dresses has definetely cooled off now, and that's good. Frankly, I didn't see that many great dresses in this collection - these 4 are the best. Others are more boring and to be honest often very questionable.

Fall 2009: Best Runway Looks (Part 7: G)
It's funny that most of designers who's name starts on "g" made mostly black, dark collection for this fall. I'll be honest: that made me sick, I don't like that much of black. So it was hard for me to pick something, but I managed to choose several looks.
Giambattista Valli
Giambattista Valli
First look here is my most fav of the whole collection. The dress is also cute, very gentle. However, the collection in general was too difficult for me to implement it in life, so sadly I could pick only these two looks. I expected more.
Givenchy
Love Givenchy. Riccardo Tisci makes clothes that is as sexy as hell,I mean it. Often you'll look at it and think 'How on Earth am I supposed to wear this?' But you know what? When you meet your Givenchy dress, you won't have this question.
Gucci
99% black collection, really? Come on, Frida, you can't be serious! This is GUCCI!
I was sincerely hoping for a little color (dark blue/red/violet/eggplant dont' count) and I got none. Sad.
But these looks are nice.

"Coco Avant Chanel" screening
Today I was at the premier of "Coco Avant Chanel" movie. Oh well, I can talk and talk about how great Coco Chanel was, because for me it is hard to fulfill everything I feel for her in one word, she was a woman of many talents. So let's skip the part of me giving endless compliments to mademoiselle Chanel and get straight to the movie.
It was interesting. Not that it was something beyond, but it was curious to see a version of Chanel's past. The sad part was that as long as Coco had such an extrordinary life full of people, events and achievements it is hard to put it all in a movie that lasts for a about 1,5 hour. So it seemed to me that some things were a little rushed in the movie, some skipped, but hey - if you want to avoid that you'll have to make like 25 movies or more about her. I would watch all of them though ;)
Anyways, my most favoured part was the end. When you watch the movie, I guess you'll know why. I won't tell you know, not to take the best from you :)

What is 'PURE'?
PURE is the group I have in the social website similar to facebook - vkontakte.ru. As long as this group of mine at that website was created earlier than this blog and I mark all my works with 'PURE' (as the name of my group) I am not going to change that.
So please don't be confused - everything here marked with 'PURE' is created by me.

Fall 2009: Best Runway Looks (Part 6: F)
Fendi
Most of all I like the 1st look here, it's perfect - a party look I'd definetelly wear
Fur dress - unusual, but looks very nice here. Where to weat it - I guess a party would be perfect, I don't think it'll be too hot.
Red velvet dress might need some jewelry.
Love last coat, chic.

Fall 2009: Best Runway Looks (Part 5: E)
Elie Saab
This collection was full of different-themed clothes: day wear, evening wear, rock chic glamour. These three looks I consider the best.
Emilio Pucci
I looooooved this Pucci collection! Great, gorgeous clothes.
Emporio Armani
These looks remind me of Blair Waldorf style from the Gossip Girl show. So girly-perfectly-sophisticated, you know :)
Etro
Etro has a unique style, and though most of their clothes is not my cup of tea, I like these looks.

Fall 2009: Best Runway Looks (Part 4: D)
Derek Lam
Dolce & Gabbana
Well this are hardly a day-wear clothes, but aren't these looks fabulous? :) Dresses are amazing. You know if you have a dress like this you HAVE to find an occasion to wear it :)
Donna Karan
Chic. All I can say.
Dsquared2
And this is a big difference from the previous picture :) Love Dsquared team and the kick-ass looks they make :)
I like the 1st look best here.
2nd dress is very elegant and sophisticated.
3rd one is a party one, maybe for New Years or something.
Diane von Furstenberg
What I love about Diane is that she's totally on her own about her designs - she doesn't follow the main flow and does what she's best at - amazing feminine clothes, still very up-to-date, very casual.
This show was very cosy.
DKNY
I have a little thing for good coats, you know :) This is why we have this beautiful red coat here.
And we also have another three elegant looks: nice dresses and suits.
