Resort 2010 (Part 12: S & T & V & Y & Z)

Stella McCartney

I love Stella because she created beautiful girly clothes, full of happiness and joy. She makes a girl look sexy and beautiful without giving her extra age or making her look tacky. Thank you, Stella!

Tibi
Quite a new brand for me with nice clothes for spring and summer.

Vera Wang
I like sequins, but they rarely look appropriate on clothes. Here at Vera Wang we have some feminine sparkling looks, and they look really good - everything is in the right place and sequins are in the right amount. Very nice.

Versace
LOVE this collection! I feel 60s here and I like that time, and I really like the way Donatella translated in into the modern clothes.

Victor & Rolf
Good looks for a young business lady, who wants to look business still looking feminine.

Yigal Azrouël
For some reason several designers this Resort season turned their heads towards turbans. Can't say that I am super excited with this idea - it's a difficult accessorize to pull it off apart from the runway. But sill it's an interesting detail, if you dare to wear it. Cosy looks here.

Yves Saint Laurent
Again some business looks with a hint of elegance. More mature if you compare them to Victor & Rolf's, for example.

Zac Posen
Another trio of nice looks for day wear by Zac Posen.

So this is it about the Resort 2010 season, guys!
Look forward to see the best looks for Spring/Summer 2010, they are coming really soon :)

Resort 2010 (Part 11: R)

Rachel Roy
This is how you can look fresh, feminine and elegant when looking business.

Rag & Bone
Underground chic

Reem Acra
And the total opposite to the previous one - exquisite evening gowns by Reem Acra. The 4th and 5th are stunning!

Roberto Cavalli

I love the colors combinations and the animal-inspired prints here.

Resort 2010 (Part 10: N & O & P)

Naeem Khan
Beautiful and very elegant. I want to put the straps of the 3rd dress on the shoulders though...

Narciso Rodrigues
Girly daywear and I really like the 3rd dress!

Nicole Miller
Nice dresses. Really like the print on the 1st one.

Oscar de la Renta
Is it just me or do the 1st and 3rd dresses look a lot like Chanel?... Like them anyways, but strange resemblence. 2nd look is perfect for a day at work, 4th - for a walk down the beach and 5th - if you want to be the star of the night

Prada
To be clear - I don't see myself wearing panties with a shirt to a business meeting, but I do love the shirts apart from the panties - really good color blocking. Shoes are a bit out of the place in my opinion, they distract you from the whole look and don't really make it complete... Nice bags :)

Preen
I love Preen dresses, they are so... I don't know, you just look at them and think "Great dress". And what is good about them is that while being not standardly structured and tailored they don't look complicated or unable to wear. They look complete.

Proenza Schouler
I love these looks, so cool. Necklaces are great.

Resort 2010 (Part 9: M)

Malandrino
Very elegant & feminine

Marc by Marc Jacobs
This line by Marc Jacobs has more sporty and relaxed style, and this clothes is really good for summer.

Marc Jacobs
This line is more sexy and feminine - I really like dresses here.

Marchesa
Marchesa is perfect for red carpets or other gala events you attend. Georgina definitely knows how to make a woman look stunning.

Marni
Loose forms, slick fabrics - you'll feel confident without being uncomfortable.

Matthew Williamson
I want each and every of these dresses! Perfect.

Max Azria
Absolutely love the style and the spirit of these clothes - sexy, elegant and fresh.

Michael Kors
I have some sort of Marrakech feeling from these clothes, it gives you the feeling of the summer heat or walking on the hot sand or going on a tour to a lost city...

Monique Lhuillier
One word: gorgeous.

Moschino
I fell in love with this collection, it has a lot in common with my style.

Moschino Cheap & Chic
The Twiggy-inspired style is very cute. 2nd dress is the best :)

Resort 2010 (Part 8: L)

Lanvin
Well here you'll need some imagination for how properly wear these clothes! Love sequined looks (2 & 5) and dresses are simply fabulous!

Lela Rose
Once again a cute and comfortable daywear. Last dress is adorable.

Louis Vuitton
Sexy-sexy collection and very wearable (which seems to be a rear thing for LV lately).

Resort 2010 (Part 7: H & J)

Hervé Léger by Max Azria
I like this collection A LOT more than the fall one, so refreshing.

J. Mendel
Very feminine and soft collection, I really like it. Very elegant.

Jason Wu
Nice silhouettes and good tailoring. Dresses are good for an evening out.

Jenni Kayne
Love the length of the skirts and the whole concept of collection.

Jonathan Saunders
Nice colors and fabrics. Very simple and easy to wear during the day.

Vogue Russia February 2010

I was passing by press stores for a couple of days and hesitating to buy this issue of Russian Vogue. Today I bought it. I gotta say I immidiately got a feeling it is going to be a lame issue. Moreover, I was thinking - am I the only one who is bothered with the fact that last year's February issue of Russian Vogue was also dedicated to US?
And guess what? I open it up and see the content is literally the same as a year ago: they talk about jeans, fringe, Michele Obama, leather, american designers and all the other stuff they wrote a year ago about. I mean, are you serious??? Who do you think your readers are - a bunch of dumb teenage girls who can go on forever about how much the love America?
Well I have a bad news for you, Aliona Doletskaya - they're not. As I am one of your readers (at least at this very moment - can't tell you about the future) I demand respect to myself from the magazine that is considered to be one of the most powerful in the industry. And that includes not writting about something so stupid as "jeans are forever" twice. I know that, thank you.
What is even more hideous is that they try to serve it as if it is so cool - like "yeah, we wrote about that last year, but c'mon - we have to write about this again 'cause SO much happened in the USA!"
Are you for real? For your information, you live in Russia, the greatest country in this whole world, the most powerful one, the most talented one, the most perspective one - and you tell me I have to give my applause to the States - the country that is the embodyment of the whole egoism in the world?
No, thank you. I am too proud of my own country, of my heritage, of my home country designers and musicians and politicians (yes, there are some we can be proud of) - that I don't feel any need to read your stupid tribute to America one more time.

That said, I wish you, the editorial of Vogue Russia, huge inspiration from your own country and open-mind vision of the world around you.

Regards,

Alena Travkova

Resort 2010 (Part 6: G)

Giambatista Valli

I love Giambattista, he makes one of the most beautiful dresses, as you can see here.

Giles
Usually I don't have any emotions about real people modeling for the fashion houses, not the models. But then again, most of the time I prefer it to be a model, not someone "real". Like here - Pixie Geldof might be good in something else, but modeling... Or maybe I just don't get the idea, I can presume that.

Giorgio Armani
Very feminine and elegant clothes, for a very sophisticated ladies.

Givenchy
I picked these looks because this is what I consider to be appropriate for resort/spring. Knowing that Givenchy currently has a quite moody style, these were the best for me.

Gucci

Super-sexy and cool looks at Gucci. Reeeeeeally like them!

Resort 2010 (Part 5: E)

Elie Tahari
Sexy, girly, young.

Emanuel Ungaro
Quirky, I like it.

Emilio Pucci
Love blue here. Very summer-ish, gives a feeling of a walk down the beach.

Erdem
3rd dress is my favorite here because of its simple form and interesting print.
