Three beautiful women, Natalia Vodianova, Karen Elson and Christy Turlington are gracing LV Fall 2010 campaign. I really love this ad much more than this Spring season one, the esthetics this campaign has is more my cup of tea. And the ladies look fab.
The ads were shot by Steven Meisel and styled by Karl Temper.

Did I mention I love cooking?
I do, and it is my one great passion. I enjoy the process and of course the result. I love experimenting and finding new recipes and trying new flavors and combinations of products. In fact, this passion of mine has gone a little too far once and costed me a little more than one could expect from a hobby, but that's a completely different story ;)
So yesterday I made a fabulous zebra-chocolate cake, and it was yumm-yumm-yummy :) Take a look at the last piece:

And today, despite being totally exhausted after a week at work and a good evening walk I cooked a fantastic salad with chicken and cucumbers (I tried this particular recipe for the 1st time) and what made this salad so special was the dressing made with lime, mint, salt, pepper, sugar, chili, soy sauce and olive oil - sounds crazy, but so tasty!
If some of you need a recipe, let me know :)

My beauty picks
I have been sharing my choice of beauty products in my group PURE at the vkontakte.ru for a while now, and I've decided to take it here as well as it might be interesting and helpful for you too. So here we go :)
Among my latest beauty pics would be:
Guerlain meteorites blush

Guerlain meteorites blush
It was love at first sight, or at first touch to be correct :) They are light and very easy to apply, and have an amazingly beautiful shade (I have them in Pink Fresh, they suit me best).
Babor PURE day cream
Babor makes very good cosmetics for all types of skin and age categories. My pick for summer was this PURE day cream, it has light texture and absorbs easily and gives the skin just the right amount of moisturizing for the hot summer days.
Terrific scent! I have to say I haven't been so impressed by a scent for a very long time - since I first smelled Dior Pure Poison (and it completely stole my heart for several years, I still love it).
Chanel Aqualumiere gloss
Very nice lip gloss with comfortable texture and no blunt smell or taste (this is important to me, I don't really like very smelly lip glosses/lipsticks). I have it in BonBon shade and I love it.
Chanel Inimitable Mascara
Okay, and this is my long time love :) This mascara is perfect for daytime - not too thick, but covers the lashes evenly and leaves them looking quite natural. Plus a big bonus for me personally - a rubber brush, I absolutely don't like standard not rubber brushes, I can't help it.

Vogue US July 2010
A beautiful and fairy-tale styled shoot called "Magnificent obsession" by Peter Lindbergh starring Natalia Vodianova and Ewan McGregor. I missed something like that, love the mood the shoot has.

SATC 2
Yesterday night I went to see the "Sex and the City p.2" movie. It was a lot of fun :)
I think that the point of watching such movies is to cheer up a bit if you need to or just to have fun and laugh, which I did with pleasure. I take this movie as a beautiful picture with a hint of satire or parody of real life. I mean - it was a pleasure to look at beautiful grown-up women in gorgeous clothes and stunning nature, and as a nice bonus I had fun laughing at the silly situations the movie was about. But there were several topics that were sort of deep and serious too - so that the movie doesn't end up as an average american teenage comedy.
Anyways, I had fun and enjoyed it, and I would probably even watch it once again sometime - just for the clothes ;) If you are thinking about seeing this movie - I'd say go, but just don't take it too serious :)

Good books
A couple of weeks ago I've started reading Maksim Gorky's short stories that I haven't read before. I really recommend it to you if you are looking for something interesting and easy to read. They have various themes and great vocabulary.
Among the stories I've read there was the one called "Убийцы" ("The killers"), and it really impressed me. It is truly amazing, how the things he spoke about almost a century ago are still up-to-date now. People really don't change (and that's incredibly sad sometimes). Here is an expert from that story that impressed me the most - as if it was said by a modern person today about our society:
"Известно, что человек, чувствуя себя центром внимания ближних, уродливо распухает и кажется сам себе значительнее, больше, чем он есть на самом деле. Мы слишком часто надуваем человека нашим любопытством; возможно, что отчасти поэтому наши политические и иные герои так недолговечны и так легко лопаются. И поэтому же мы, в нашем стремлении создать хотя бы маленького героя, так часто создаем большого дурака".
I think that is so true.

I need a bat
Today my morning started with a big desire to take a baseball bat and crash a car (or maybe two) that was passing by me while I was on my way to work. Nice beginning, huh?
It didn't get much better later on. Don't want to discuss this now and here, but trust me, when I got home about an hour ago, I felt like it was the best thing that happened to me today.
... But that feeling I got when I saw a car passing by me and imagined crashing and smashing it - oh my, that was so good... It would've been better if I actually did it, but I am a good girl so I thought that some stranger doesn't deserve to get his car crashed in the early morning just for nothing. I wish somebody would've just come to me, gave me the bat and showed me a car (a good, new, all shiny one) that I could smash into zillion pieces. Never happened.

Feeling life
I'm a true superhero today, I managed to do so much in so short amount of time!
Just love this feeling when at the end of the day you think of how that day started and you think "That was today? It seems like so long ago" - I guess this is the moral feeling of an active life. So good.

Krasnoyarsk review
On sunday night I came back from my trip to Krasnoyarsk for their fashion week (or night, to be correct). I gotta say - I had a lot on my mind.
To begin with, Krasnoyarsk is a nice town with beautiful mountains and we were lucky enough to live in a spa-hotel right beside them, so that we could enjoy a spectacular view just from our window (not that there was much time to enjoy the view tough). But aside of the mountains the good things about our trip come to an end.
Everything was organized very badly. I'm not going to discuss all details here because that would be very unprofessional on my side, I'll just say that my expectations were not satisfied in many ways.
I' don't even want to post any pictures from that trip and there's no point.
Happy 1st day of summer by the way! :)
